dental implants

Dental implants are a highly successful and modern way to permanently replace one or more missing teeth. This technique has been developed and perfected over the last 40 years to produce reliable and long-lasting, permanent solutions to tooth loss. Dental implants have been used to restore natural aesthetics and confidence in function for many of our patients. A dental implant is a titanium fixture, usually in the shape of a screw, that is surgically inserted in the jawbone to permanently replace a missing or hopelessly damaged tooth.

The implant fixture basically serves the function of the tooth root and serves as a base for the construction and fitting of a porcelain crown. In selected cases, a damaged tooth can be removed and replaced with an implant-supported crown in the same day.

Do you think your teeth are too far gone and that having a beautiful smile and enjoying eating food in comfort is unachievable? If you have struggled with the challenges and costs associated with lost or damaged teeth or removable dentures, our dental implant solutions can provide you with a fresh start. What are the benefits of this complete smile rehabilitation dental implant treatment?

Suitability for most patients — This dental implant procedure is highly inclusive, accommodating a wide range of patients and indications. Even those with significant tooth loss or issues that traditionally preclude standard dental implants are considered to determine if they’re candidates for this procedure.

Permanent, functioning and beautiful teeth in a single procedure — Unlike traditional methods that may require multiple surgeries and an extended process, this treatment provides a permanent solution for missing teeth in just one procedure. This efficiency is particularly beneficial for patients seeking a quick and effective restoration of their dental function and aesthetics.

Minimised recovery period — Patients can start using their new teeth on the same day of the procedure. This immediate functionality is a significant advantage over traditional implants, where a waiting period is required for the implants to integrate with the bone.

The results are fixed and non-removable — Unlike dentures, which are removable and can sometimes be unstable or uncomfortable, these implant supported restorations are fixed in place, ensuring a stable and secure fit, enhancing both comfort and functionality.

A naturally-improved smile — The aesthetic outcome of this treatment is a natural-looking set of teeth for an improved smile.

Comfort and confidence in eating — Patients can enjoy a varied diet without the discomfort, or restrictions often associated with dentures. The stability of our All on X implant solutions allows for a more natural eating experience.

Increased bite strength and chewing efficiency — Our dental implant treatment solutions restore near-natural bite strength, allowing patients to eat a wider range of foods, including harder or chewier items that may be challenging with dentures or damaged natural teeth.

Proven precision technique — The method is guided by surgical templates and jigs and backed by substantial research and a track record of success. The precision of the technique ensures optimal placement of the implants, leading to better outcomes in terms of functionality, comfort and aesthetics.

A certain degree of post-operative discomfort is expected and will be managed by anti-inflammatory medication and plenty of rest. This total rehabilitation dental implant treatment with immediate teeth replacement causes much less post-operative discomfort than traditional delayed implant treatment because there is only one procedure, and the sensitive gum tissues are not exposed to any pressure or movement.

In the weeks to months following surgery, your bone will form a bond with the implant surfaces (Osseointegration). It will mature to a permanent and strong adhesion with proper post-operative care. To ensure the success of this critical phase, we advise our patients to refrain from eating hard or crunchy foods and avoid smoking and excessive alcohol consumption for up to 3 months.

You will be required to attend review appointments over the next few months so that we can ensure that all is healing well and your mouth is comfortable and free from any infection.

Long-term treatment success depends on regular hygiene maintenance, including brushing, flossing, mouth rinses, and regular hygiene visits.
